Hello Minerva Park Village Neighbors,
The Minerva Park Village Charter Commission added our last 3 Commission members on January 3, 2019 at the weekly Charter Commission Meeting. Please welcome Sarai Silverman, Linda Allison, and Eddie Bell.
Each submitted a resume and cover letter that Charter Commission members reviewed. All three also attended the meeting on 1/3/2019 shared information about their interest in serving and answered Charter Commission member’s questions.
- Eddie Bell (Jordan Road), originally from San Diego, an operations manager whose company works with the OJFS.
- Sarai Silverman (Maplewood) has lived in MP for roughly 3 years. She is a pattern maker in automotive manufacturing, specializing in communication and problem-solving. She is interested in joining out of a desire to begin working with her community and getting to know her neighbors.
- Linda Allison (lives very near to the community building on Minerva Lake Road) is an attorney in private practice focusing on juvenile law. She’s been CASA advocate for abused and neglected children and has a great deal of writing and research experience that would be useful to the commission. She’s lived in MP for several decades, loves the neighborhood and has seen a lot of changes and community participation. She began to think about the local MP government when she learned about the building purchase last year. Charter Commission members shared the time commitment, summarized the progress made to date and answered their questions.
By meetings end each was nominated and unanimously elected by the 12 existing Charter Commission members.
